The Rione Testaccio, between Via Marmorata, the Aurelian Walls and the Tiber, has the form of a quadrilateral almost regular, flat, except for the artificial hill from which it takes its name, Monte Testaccio, the large dump of the port of ancient Rome, The Emporium, formed by the accumulation of earthenware vessels, the “testae”.
